Currently Registered Volunteers

The House is located at 435 Limestone Street, on the corner of Michigan Street and Limestone Street, on the west end of the IU Indy campus. 

Please use the circle drive on Limestone Street to temporarily park your car. Enter through the glass doors and a staff member will be at the desk to provide a parking pass.

You will be provided with an RMHCCIN-branded shirt and name badge on your first day. A branded shirt and nametag are required so that you are identifiable to guests and staff.

Park in the Riley Outpatient Center (ROC) garage which is off Riley Hospital Drive near Michigan Street. The address is 575 Riley Hospital Drive – Indianapolis, IN 46202.

The manager on duty will provide you with a parking validation at the end of your shift. Please be sure to park in the ROC garage as we are unable to validate parking in other lots or garages, and you will be responsible for any costs.

Once you park, go through the sliding glass doors to the ROC lobby.

On your first shift, check in at the information desk to let the guest services team know that you are volunteering in the Ronald McDonald Family Room(s). You will then go through security.

Once you have received your IU Health badge on your first shift, you will be able to bypass security, as long as your badge is worn where security can see it.

The ROC sliding doors are locked on weekends, but you can enter by scanning your IU Health badge. (It looks like a number pad to the far right of the doors). On your first shift, if unable to get in, please call the First Floor Family Room at 317-944-2236, and someone will come let you in.

Ronald McDonald Family Room First Floor

• From the Riley Outpatient Center, follow the signage to the Simon Family Tower.
• In the Navigate Riley app, choose: From: ROC Garage | To: Ronald McDonald Family Room – First Floor

Ronald McDonald Family Room Maternity Tower

• From the Riley Outpatient Center, follow the signage to the Maternity Tower and/or Glass Elevators. Our maternity Tower Family Room is located on the third floor of the Maternity Tower. Take the Glass Elevators up to the third floor. Once you exit the elevator, turn left. You will see the signage for our Family Room.
• In the Navigate Riley app, choose: From: ROC Garage | To: Glass Elevators

Khakis, dress pants, or comfortable jeans are all acceptable options. Please wear closed-toe shoes. You will be provided with an RMHC shirt and your IU Health nametag/badge on your first day.

On your first shift, the manager on duty, will show you how to use Family Registry, where to sign in, give you a tour, and teach you everything you will need to know!

The green bullets on the far left denotes an open shift

An orange bullets denotes shifts where you are scheduled

Blue bullets are where other volunteers are scheduled

You can add yourself to the schedule by clicking on that shift

You can remove yourself from the schedule if the date is at least five days out. If you are not given the option to remove yourself from the schedule, please notify Arielle Hirt at the Ronald McDonald House or your direct supervisor.

If you would like to see just the shifts where you are on the schedule, click on the filter icon on the upper right side and make sure only “My scheduled items” is checked and click on “Apply”.
