Stay With Us
Families who come to Indianapolis seeking lifesaving medical treatment for their children can find the respite they need at the Ronald McDonald House.
Families are eligible to stay at the Ronald McDonald House if they have a child under the age of 21 who is a patient at any Indianapolis-area hospital. The child may be either an inpatient or an outpatient who must stay close to the hospital because of their treatment schedule.
After receiving referral information, the family is placed on the House’s waiting list. Due to the high demand for rooms and the fact that hospital discharge dates are uncertain, families are placed on our waiting list in the order in which the referral was received.
Families are asked to donate $15 per night to help cover the cost of providing the room as well as a $5 key fee per key upon check-in. However, no family is ever turned away from a room due to an inability to pay for their stay.
Once a guest, families may stay until their child is discharged from the hospital. Because of this, we cannot guarantee room reservations in advance as families do not always know when they will be leaving. In lieu of room reservations, families are placed on a waitlist and given a room based on daily availability.
The Ronald McDonald House is located just a few blocks west of both Riley Hospital for Children and the Indiana University Hospital on the IUPUI campus. The “House at Riley” is located within Riley Hospital for Children. A free shuttle is available to and from Riley, IU and Methodist hospitals.
