Our Relationship with McDonald's
A Shared Mission with McDonald’s
Ronald McDonald Houses have been McDonald’s “charity of choice” since the first House was founded in Philadelphia in 1974.
Here in Indiana, your favorite local restaurants support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana through donation boxes, Round-Up for Ronald McDonald House, point of sale fundraisers, and donations of one penny per Happy Meal® sold. Restaurants also host local charity events and give volunteer support. We are grateful for our “first and forever” partner.
McDonald’s involvement extends beyond the corporate level with:
- McDonald’s employees support our Ronald McDonald House as volunteers and meal program participants.
- McDonald’s owner/operators and corporate employees are represented on our Board of Directors and various committees.
- McDonald’s owner/operators and the regional corporate office often sponsor and/or attend fundraising events and activities.
- The McDonald’s network of suppliers often provides both monetary support and in-kind donations of services and supplies.
